HOT STONE

Massage Therapy

At Maintain Independence, our Hot Stone Back Massage blends soothing heat with therapeutic massage techniques to promote relaxation and muscle relief. We use smooth basalt stones, warmed to a comfortable temperature, and place them on key points along the spine, hands, or even between toes. The heat helps melt away tension and prepares your muscles for deeper massage.

The therapist may also use the heated stones as an extension of their hands, massaging areas that need extra care. This combination of warmth and expert massage boosts circulation, relaxes muscles, and helps release tension in a way that's more effective than traditional massage alone.

Perfect for easing muscle tightness, chronic pain, or stress, this treatment is customized to suit your individual needs. We can adjust the pressure and temperature of the stones to ensure a comfortable experience. In some cases, cold stones can also be introduced to enhance blood flow and offer a contrasting sensation.

Your comfort is our priority—communicate with your therapist about any preferences or concerns. For those with specific medical conditions, we recommend checking with your healthcare provider before booking a session.
