At Maintain Independence, we are committed to providing a clean, safe and comfortable environment for all clients and practitioners.

As many of our services involve close contact, including rehabilitation, sports therapy, soft tissue therapy and massage treatments, we kindly ask all clients to follow the hygiene guidelines below.

Personal Hygiene

We respectfully ask that clients attend appointments having:

• Showered or bathed within a reasonable timeframe before their appointment
• Worn clean clothing
• Maintained good personal hygiene
• Removed excessive dirt, mud or debris from the skin where treatment will take place

This helps ensure a comfortable experience for both client and practitioner.

After Exercise or Sport

If you are attending directly after the gym, sports training, work or any activity that may result in excessive perspiration, we kindly ask that you freshen up beforehand where possible.

Where this is not possible, please bring a clean change of clothing.

Illness and Infection

Please do not attend your appointment if you:

• Have a contagious illness
• Have experienced vomiting or diarrhoea within the previous 48 hours
• Have a fever
• Have an active skin infection
• Have a contagious rash or condition

Strong Fragrances

Whilst we appreciate that many people wear perfumes, aftershaves and body sprays, we ask that these are used in moderation, as some clients may have sensitivities or respiratory conditions.

Respect for Others

Our aim is to create a welcoming, professional and respectful environment for everyone who attends Maintain Independence.

In circumstances where hygiene standards are not sufficient to safely or comfortably provide treatment, we reserve the right to refuse or reschedule the appointment.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
